The endless wait for Granblue Fantasy Relink seems to be finally coming to a close. This action-RPG game, developed by Cygames and announced almost eight years ago, is set to make its debut in early 2024 after several delays. Given the development history, concerns about further setbacks were valid, but Yasuyuki Kaji, the game’s director, sought to reassure the community in his year-end wishes published in Famitsu.
A lengthy project is concluding with Granblue Fantasy Relink, now seemingly free from any delays. The game director announces the completion of development, indicating it has achieved “gold” status, marking the end of production, with a scheduled release on February 1, 2024.
Yasuyuki Kaji is even gearing up for a new project, a tangible sign that the prolonged development of Granblue Fantasy Relink is finally behind Cygames. Almost, as the game is expected to continue receiving updates, including the addition of free characters in the upcoming spring.
Granblue Fantasy Relink will be available on PC, PS4, and PS5. Note that a demo will also be playable on PlayStation consoles in January, with the exact date yet to be specified.
