The launch of Prince of Persia Remake is not going as planned, and the game is still not available. Despite several delays, Ubisoft is sharing updates.
Ubisoft is determined to revitalize its renowned Prince of Persia franchise, but it is undeniably proving to be a highly challenging task. The new game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, has received negative feedback from players, and the development process has been marked by numerous internal issues.
Although three years have passed since Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, the game has yet to be released. The chaotic development even led to a change of studios last year, with Ubisoft Montreal (known for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) taking over the project and doing its best to see it through. Initial feedback was highly critical due to the perceived disappointing artistic direction and graphics for such a prestigious title.
Despite these obstacles, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still in development. Ubisoft has implemented multiple delays to avoid compromising the quality of the release. In May of last year, producer Jean-François Naud reassured fans, explaining that the game was still in the early stages of development but that the team was putting in every effort to succeed.
After a prolonged silence, Ubisoft recently announced a significant milestone in the game’s design. According to the statement, the passionate team at Ubisoft Montreal is reimagining the legendary story, and the project is progressing significantly internally. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is very much alive and undergoing improvements.
